Ghost Shark
New species of
sharks, "Eastern Pacific black ghostshark (Hydrolagus melanophasma)" were identified by the research team including Academy Research Associates David Ebert and Douglas J. Long.
Last September the
shark is classified as a new species. This is a new species of the genus Hydrolagus (latin Idioms of water rabit), because the structure of rabbit-like teeth. Actually, the shark was first discovered in the 1960s, but due to taxonomic classification of the creature is not clear yet to be named and has not been classified. Last September the shark finally classified as Hydrolagus melanophasma (black ghost).
These sharks are found in the Southern California coast. So far only nine sharks captured. Sharks are categorized as the most mysterious fish that are still alive today.
