Marmot is a kind of rodent in the family Sciuridae (squirrels) in the genus Marmota.
Marmot generally live in mountainous areas, such as the Alps or the Pyrenees in Europe, the Rocky Mountains or the Sierra Nevada in the United States, and northern Canada. Marmot generally make their nests in the ground and do during winter hibernation. Most pigs classified as a social animal; pigs communicate with each other with shrill whistles, especially if you feel there is danger.
The name hamster comes from the Latin Mures monti ( "mountain rats"), from Latin Classical alpini Mures ( "Alps mouse").
Other animals similar sized but more social, prairie dogs, not classified in the genus Marmota but in the genus Cynomys. Meanwhile, in Indonesian, Dutch mice (guinea pig) is often referred to as guinea pigs, even though these rodents come from different families.
Guinea pig is the main food plants, such as grasses, berries, moss crust, moss leaves, roots, and flowers.
